Chatham House on UK Strategy in China & the Indo-Pacific
28 October 2025
Venue: Westminster
CPA UK together with the British Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (BGIPU) partnered with Chatham House to deliver a round-table discussion.
The discussion focused on recently released papers by Chatham House on UK strategies towards China and the Indo-Pacific.
These twin publications explored ways in which the UK can build advantageous and resilient partnerships in the Indo-Pacific region, especially at a time of major geopolitical shifts.
Two research fellows from Chatham House were on the panel:
- Ben Bland, Director of Asia Pacific Programme
- Olivia O'Sullivan, Director of UK in the World Programme
The session started with Chatham House fellows introducing their two publications, followed by an open conversation with UK parliamentarians.
