A delegation of ten newly elected parliamentarians from Guernsey is to visit Westminster for a workshop, hosted by CPA UK, to provide an overview of the UK’s political landscape and the Westminster system. The visit will facilitate the exchange of knowledge in areas including the representation of women, scrutiny of the Executive, public outreach and the use of social media.
Earlier this year, CPA UK concluded a major international parliamentary project on parliamentary oversight of the new Sustainable Development Goals. Cayman Islands MP Winston Connolly explains how it boosted his campaign for energy reform on the islands.
A delegation of MPs and Peers is to visit the Canadian Federal Parliament and the National Assembly of Québec as part of a parliamentary bilateral delegation facilitated by CPA UK. The visit will allow parliamentarians from both sides of the Atlantic to share knowledge and understanding of issues of mutual interest, including national security, immigration, the Canada-EU trade agreement (CETA), climate change, women's representation, and devolution.
