CPA BIMR Election Observation Mission to the Isle of Man 2026: First Findings

The first findings from the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association British Islands and Mediterranean Region (CPA BIMR) Election Observation Mission to the Isle of Man have been published.

The Election Observation Mission was carried out at the invitation of the Tynwald.
This is the second time the Isle of Man election has been observed by CPA BIMR Election Observation. Read the 2021 General Election Observation Report.
An international team made up the Mission, led by Deputy Chris Blin, Guernsey Parliament as Head of Mission. The other members were:
- Honourable Willin Belliard from the Parliament of Turks and Caicos Islands
- Honourable Josephine Connolly from the Parliament of Turks and Caicos Islands
- Leslie Bruzon MP from the Gibraltar Parliament
- Phillip Borge, Clerk of the Gibraltar Parliament
- Election analysts Delphine Blanchet & Vasil Vashchanka
- Three CPA BIMR staff members: Zahra Soolagh, Luke Fearon and Siobhann Tighe
Commenting on the initial findings, Deputy Chris Blin, Head of Mission said:
“I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the efficient running of the elections. We saw for ourselves how hard everyone worked to make this election a success. It was a significant shared civic effort, and those involved should rightfully be proud. We witnessed a well organised process, with a real commitment to make it transparent and inclusive. We hope our recommendations will be a positive contribution to the Isle of Man.”
