Climate Advocacy Workshop: A discussion on youth and parliamentary collaboration

30 September 2021

Venue: Virtual, Zoom

Ahead of the UK hosting the 26th UN Conference of Parties on Climate Change (COP26) in November 2021, CPA UK partnered with the  Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FDCO) to deliver a Climate Advocacy Workshop.

The two-hour workshop engaged an audience of both pan-Commonwealth parliamentarians and active youth representatives in a discussion on strengthening effective youth engagement for climate action.

The workshop was divided in to two sessions on 30 September 2021, 1200-1400 (GMT+1). The first session showcased some of the innovative ways that Commonwealth parliamentarians and youth have exercised climate advocacy. The second session provided a unique opportunity to discuss key issues relating to COP26 with a focus on supporting parliamentarians to become more effective within their remit to act on climate change.
