Virtual Caribbean Regional Workshop on Human Trafficking, Forced Labour and other Contemporary Forms of Exploitation

02 February 2021 - 03 February 2021

Venue: Virtual

After the success of the CPA UK Modern Slavery Project, CPA UK has continued to have Modern Slavery as a priority theme. This ensures a continuing exchange of knowledge among Commonwealth Parliaments on issues of human trafficking, forced labour and other forms of exploitation.

CPA UK will host a Caribbean Workshop on Human Trafficking, Forced Labour and Contemporary Forms of Exploitation. The workshop will take place online from Tuesday 2nd to Wednesday 3rd February 2021 and will build on previous technical programmes where Commonwealth parliamentary champions shared knowledge on human trafficking and related issues.

Bringing together several countries in the Caribbean region, the workshop aims to provide a platform for parliamentarians and parliamentary officials to; increase awareness of all areas of human trafficking, forced labour and contemporary forms of exploitation, build networks across the region to support the development of human trafficking legislation in individual jurisdictions and take lead to champion legislative reform.
