CPA UK hosted a delegation from the Maldives Public Accounts Committee and Auditor General’s Office from 25-28 April 2022.

The purpose of the programme was to strengthen the role of Public Accounts Committees and how they work with Supreme Audit Institutions. There was also be several bilateral sessions aimed at strengthening the relationship between the UK Parliament and the People’s Majlis, the national legislature of the Maldives.

The delegation consisted of members and clerks from the Public Accounts Committee, as well as staff from the Maldives Auditor General’s Office. The financial scrutiny programme was held in the UK Parliament from 25-27 April, with members travelling to visit a nearby constituency on 28 April.
