CPA UK will organise a three-day workshop for parliamentary staff of the Malawian Parliament in Lilongwe between 19 and 21 March 2019. The programme will aim to strengthen the skills of staff to prepare for the upcoming parliamentary elections and organise a post-election seminar for new members. The programme will cover a wide range of issues required to organise a post-election seminar which include role of members and clerks, code of conduct, maintaining relationship with members, workshop facilitation techniques and communications skills. The programme will include technical and practical sessions to engage participants. The programme will also give UK clerks an opportunity to learn more about Malawi, including their key learnings during preparations for previous parliamentary elections.
