CPA BIMR Election Observation Mission to Jersey 2026

The first findings from the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association British Islands and Mediterranean Region (CPA BIMR) Election Observation Mission to Jersey have been published.
The Preliminary Statement was published four days after the General Election took place on Sunday 7 June (2026).

This is the third time the Jersey election has been observed by CPA BIMR Election Observation.
An international team made up the Mission, led by Gary Clueit MLC from the Isle of Man Parliament as Head of Mission. The other members were:
- Honourable Randy Howell of the Turks and Caicos Islands
- Sarah Champion MP from UK Parliament
- Ann Corlett MHK from the Parliament of the Isle of Man
- Election analysts were Delphine Blanchet and Ben Graham Jones
- Five CPA BIMR staff members: Josephine Jengo-Cowell, Alysia Boadi, Julia Gillman, Zahra Soolagh and Siobhann Tighe
Commenting on the initial findings, Head of Mission Gary Clueit MLC said:
“I sincerely thank the election organisers at all levels for their open engagement, and their willingness to assist and support us throughout. I am impressed by the dedication and good will amongst the various organisers of the election and the numerous volunteers which have led to a well-organised and smooth event.”
