12th British and Mediterranean Regions Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians' Conference.

The Northern Irish Parliament hosted the Conference, welcoming more than 25 parliamentarians from 10 jurisdictions in the CPA British Islands and Mediterranean Region (BIMR).

The theme for the two-day programme was Power and Peace: Protecting our mental health in public life'.

This provided an important and timely space for reflection, dialogue and collaboration to consider some of the challenges faced by women in political life, to share experiences, and to working together to identify practical, sustainable solutions which can support wellbeing. 

The conference developed a wellbeing pledge for women in public life, affirming that protecting mental and physical wellbeing is key to effective leadership, democratic resilience, and public trust. 

The conference was opened by Speaker Edwin Poots who is the President of the CPA Northern Ireland Branch.

The conference was held in February, 2026.
