CPA UK will facilitate a virtual workshop with Members and clerks of the Sierra Leone Parliament from 22-24 February 2021. The programme will explore legislative scrutiny, in particular approaches to effective pre-legislative scrutiny, and recent changes to Parliament’s Standing Orders. 

In addition to panel sessions and discussions with UK parliamentarians and parliamentary staff, delegates will participate in an interactive exercise simulating a bill committee hearing and debate. 

The workshop follows a series of in-country workshops and other engagements with the Sierra Leone Parliament, most recently a virtual programme for committee chairs.
