CPA UK Westminster Seminar: 1 Month To Go

Published 26 October 2018

CPA UK is looking forward to hosting the 67th Westminster Seminar in the heart of the UK Parliament from 26th -30th November 2018.

In a month’s time, CPA UK will welcome over 70 parliamentarians and clerks from every region of the Commonwealth to Westminster for an exchange of ideas and good practice.

This year’s Westminster Seminar will continue the great tradition of knowledge-sharing and collaboration as CPA UK’s annual flagship event. The five day programme will include communications workshops, parliamentary practice learning sessions, and shadowing of UK Members of Parliament in their constituencies.

Key speakers featuring in the programme are Rt Hon John Bercow MP, Speaker of the House of Commons, Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP, Leader of the House of Commons, Sir David Natzler KCB, Clerk of the House of Commons and Festus Mogae, Former President of Botswana.

James Duddridge MP, Chair of CPA UK’s Executive Committee commented:

A key strength of the Commonwealth is the varied experience and skill set represented in the 53 Commonwealth legislatures across the world. The Westminster Seminar harnesses this diversity and gives participants an opportunity to share knowledge and learn from their counterparts across the Commonwealth, as well as offering support to those who are new in their role.

The final programme will be announced very soon.
