Project Officer – Modern Slavery Project - Commonwealth Parliamentary Association UK Branch (CPA UK)

Fixed Term Contract up to 31 October 2018 (with the possibility of extension) - Pay Band C

In conjunction with the Home Office, CPA UK will deliver a modern slavery project that will demonstrate to international legislators and officials the national and international benefits of introducing modern slavery legislation in their own jurisdictions. The two year multi-stakeholder programme, currently due to end in October 2018, will highlight lessons learnt from the preparation and passage of the UK’s Modern Slavery Act 2015; provide practical advice and support to international legislators and their officials in the development, drafting and enactment of legislation, tailored to meet the varying needs of different legislatures.

This is an exciting role in a busy and dynamic office in the heart of Parliament. The Project Officer will assist in the planning and implementation of the Modern Slavery project, developing and managing relationships with parliamentary, national and international stakeholders and consortium partners. The post holder will also be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in the monitoring of programme delivery against objectives, programme expenditure against budget.
