Legislative Drafting Seminar on Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking

11 December 2017 - 14 December 2017

Venue: Houses of Parliament, Westminster, UK

CPA UK, as part of its Modern Slavery Project, hosted a Legislative Drafting Seminar from 11-14 December 2017 at the Houses of Parliament in London

The aim of the seminar was to provide parliamentarians and legislative drafters with practical advice and support in relation to the drafting and amending of modern slavery, human trafficking and forced labour legislation. Through a series of technical workshop sessions, delegates will share knowledge with one another and collaborate with experts to analyse what makes legislation effective. By the end of the seminar delegates will use this information to help facilitate well-informed policymaking and more potent legislative drafting in their jurisdictions to tackle the scourge of modern slavery, human trafficking and forced labour.
